HOW TO PARTICIPATE

#CLACSO2018 will be a forum open to individuals, institutions, and organizations from around the world. Access to all activities will be open and free of charge. To participate in #CLACSO2018, please register here.

#CLACSO2018 will also offer open panel discussions for the presentation of individual, group, or institutional lectures, which must be approved by the Thematic Committees.

The OPEN PANEL DISCUSSIONS will be spaces created for the presentation of individual, group, or institutional lectures in the event’s 36 thematic fields. Presentations during the open panel discussions may be given by students, teachers, researchers, collectives, organizations, institutions, and movements. Their purpose is to share the results of ongoing academic studies or research in any field of the social sciences and humanities; educational experiences; the analysis of processes of mobilization, organization, or struggle in any setting (governmental, non-governmental, social, educational, union, political, communication, cultural, and other areas); experiences or proposals of association and influence of the social sciences with democratic public policies; projects of association in universities, communities, unions, and/or social movements; innovative actions in organizing and managing education in the social sciences and humanities; projects or actions that aim at broadening and democratizing access to the knowledge produced by the social sciences and humanities. Lectures may also emphasize the work of authors of reference in the social sciences and humanities in any region of the world; present theoretical and strategic challenges for critical thinking and for the contemporary scientific development of interest for the social sciences and the humanities. Institutional lectures should emphasize projects, initiatives, or actions carried out by institutions that aim at contributing to any of the indicated fields. Groups or institutions that give lectures during open panel discussions may designate up to three individuals who will give the presentation.

To give a lecture during the open panel discussions, either as an individual, group, or institutional participant, please register here. Individual, group, or institutional lecturers will pay a registration fee, which will contribute to the financing of #CLACSO2018.

Lectures during any panel discussion may be given in Spanish, Portuguese, or English.

The THEMATIC COMMITTEES will be formed by members of the 110 CLACSO Work Groups, specialists designated by the CLACSO Executive Committee, and the Executive Secretary of the Board. These Committees will select the lectures that will be given during the open panel discussions.

The SPECIAL PANEL DISCUSSIONS at #CLACSO2018 will be organized by the Work Groups and the Executive Secretary of the Board. They will include international guests who have contributed to the topic at hand; the composition of participants in these discussions must comply with strict criteria of regional representation and gender.

CONFERENCES, KEYNOTE DIALOGUES, and SPECIAL FORUMS will be organized by the Executive Committee and the Executive Secretary of CLACSO.

Access to Open Panel Discussion, Special Panel Discussions and Forums, Conferences, and Keynote Dialogues will be open and free of charge, although attendees will be limited in number. The main activities of #CLACSO2018 will be transmitted on external screens and social networks.

COMO PARTICIPAR

A #CLACSO2018 será um fórum aberto a pessoas, instituições e organizações de todo o mundo. O acesso a todas suas atividades será livre e gratuito. Para participar da #CLACSO2018, é necessário apenas realizar a inscrição aqui.

A #CLACSO2018 também colocará à disposição painéis abertos para a apresentação de palestras individuais ou institucionais, as quais deverão passar pelos Comitês Temáticos.

Os PAINÉIS ABERTOS serão espaços criados para a apresentação de palestras individuais, grupais ou institucionais em qualquer dos 36 campos temáticos do evento. As apresentações nos painéis abertos poderão ser realizadas por estudantes, docentes, pesquisadores (as), coletivos, organizações, instituições e movimentos. Serão palestras que relatam resultados de estudos acadêmicos ou pesquisas em andamento, de qualquer campo das ciências sociais e humanidades; experiências de formação; análise de processos de mobilização, organização ou luta em qualquer âmbito (governamental, não governamental, social, educacional, sindical, político, comunicacional, cultural, entre outros); experiências ou propostas de vinculação e incidência das ciências sociais com políticas públicas democráticas; projetos de vinculação entre universidades, comunidades, sindicatos e/ou movimentos sociais; ações inovadoras de organização e gestão da formação em ciências sociais e humanidades; projetos ou ações que procuram ampliar e democratizar o acesso ao conhecimento produzido pelas ciências sociais e humanidades. As palestras também poderão destacar a obra de autores (as) de referência nas ciências sociais e humanidades em qualquer região do mundo; expor desafios teóricos e estratégicos para o pensamento crítico e para o desenvolvimento científico contemporâneo que se relacionem às ciências sociais e humanidades. As palestras institucionais deverão destacar projetos, iniciativas ou desenvolvimentos realizados por instituições que pretendam realizar contribuições em qualquer dos campos indicados. Os grupos ou instituições que realizarem palestras nos painéis abertos poderão indicar até três membros para realizar a apresentação.

Para apresentar palestras nos painéis abertos, seja como apresentador individual, grupal ou institucional, basta realizar sua inscrição aqui. A apresentação de palestras individuais, grupais ou institucionais exige o pagamento de uma taxa de inscrição, que contribuirá com o financiamento da #CLACSO2018.

As palestras, em qualquer dos painéis, poderão ser apresentadas em espanhol, português ou inglês.

Os COMITÊS TEMÁTICOS estarão constituídos por membros dos 110 Grupos de Trabalho do CLACSO, especialistas indicados pelo Comitê Diretor do CLACSO e pela Secretaria Executiva do Conselho. Estes Comitês selecionarão as palestras a serem apresentadas nos painéis abertos.

Os PAINÉIS ESPECIAIS da #CLACSO2018 serão organizados pelos Grupos de Trabalho e pela Secretaria Executiva do Conselho. Contarão com a presença de convidados (as) internacionais que tenham contribuído com a temática abordada, considerando sempre que sua composição deverá seguir critérios estritos de representação regional e de gênero.

As CONFERÊNCIAS, os DIÁLOGOS MAGISTRAIS e os FOROS ESPECIAIS serão organizados pelo Comitê Diretor e pela Secretaria Executiva do CLACSO.

O acesso aos Painéis Abertos, os Painéis e Foros Especiais, as Conferências e os Diálogos Magistrais será livre e gratuito, embora a capacidade seja limitada. As principais atividades da #CLACSO2018 serão transmitidas por telas externas e via redes sociais.

Todos os (as) participantes da #CLACSO2018 receberão seu correspondente certificado de participação. Os (as) apresentadores, além disso, receberão um certificado oficial do CLACSO, que certificará a seleção e apresentação de sua palestra no evento.
