Caracas. 2007 *Disponible sólo en versión digital The present work is developed such as the following way: in first place, we analyze and discuss a series of passages that allow the approximation to the notion of ethics or morality in Simón Rodríguez, and its relationship with notions as will, free arbitrament, freedom, reason and nature. Secondly, we study the concepts of habit and custom and we elucidate the place they occupy in every mankind ethical conformation or social ethical conformation, theirs importance in the politics and specifically in the republican Rodríguez sample. The third point approaches us to the study of what the virtue and the social virtues are, and theirs relationship with the political and the social notion. Finally the work is closed with a fed up relevant point in the Rodriguez political and social philosophy, namely: the theoretical relationship between ethics and education, reflected on the political thing and called by Rodriguez “the lights and the social virtues."
